Jason Thompson, M.A.
Jason Thompson works with boys, teens, and men at Equip. He has a specialization in working with families having trouble with their relationships and, in addition to his clinical work at Equip, he teaches family therapy techniques to graduate students at California School of Professional Psychology. Jason is trained in traditional modes of therapy such as Experiential, Solution Focused, and Narrative techniques. He has also pursued training in state-of-the-art techniques such as Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and The Matrix Model of Recovery.
Jason graduated with honors from Harvard University with a Bachelors in Social Science and holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from The California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. He has completed over 3000 clinical hours after receiving his degree and is gearing up to take his final exam to become a licensed MFT. He is also in his final stretch of completing and additional Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Marriage and Family Therapy.
