Ethan Gerendas
I’m a therapist who believes that therapy works best when it is a collaborative process built around each client’s unique experiences, personality, and goals. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, stress, and life transitions. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves, while also feeling encouraged to explore difficult experiences, develop new skills, and work toward meaningful change. My approach is warm, person-centered, and grounded in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is an important part of the healing process. I work to understand each client within the context of their relationships, family, culture, and individual life experiences rather than focusing solely on symptoms. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena and have trained in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and with varying levels of clinical need. As an Associate level therapist, I am supervised by Drs. David Lorentzen (PSY 23226) and Thomas Duke (PSY 28069).
